Job Summary:
The Production Technician is responsible for supporting general seed production activities throughout different seasons of the year. Responsibilities include seed receiving, conditioning, treating, packaging, warehousing, shipping, equipment maintenance, and field operations. This position works as part of the production team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with seed production activities including receiving, conditioning, treating, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations.
- Operate production equipment under established procedures and work instructions.
- Assist with field operations, inspections, scouting, planting, and detasseling activities as needed.
- Assist with bulk seed movement and inventory management.
- Prepare containers and packaging materials, including washing and repairs when applicable.
- Assist with preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities.
- Complete production paperwork and records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify product, inventory, and shipment accuracy.
- Demonstrate commitment to all company safety policies and actively participate in safety initiatives, training, and incident prevention activities.
- Follow established quality procedures and support compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in cross-training activities to support operational flexibility and business continuity.
- Perform assigned duties to meet company quality standards.

- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
