Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mechanic Technician to join a maintenance team supporting a large corrugated manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining corrugator equipment and supporting systems to ensure safe and efficient production.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, experience working with industrial equipment, and the ability to support a variety of machinery rather than specializing in a single area. Candidates from paper mills, corrugated facilities, manufacturing plants, or other industrial maintenance environments are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and support systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and corrective maintenance activities
  • Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and repair conveyor, chain, gear, bearing, and power transmission equipment
  • Fabricate or modify tools, machine parts, and components as needed
  • Support equipment reliability and minimize production downtime
  • Operate forklifts and assist with occasional rigging activities
  • Perform maintenance across multiple machine types and production systems
  • Follow all safety, quality, and maintenance procedures

Many machines are older and require hands-on troubleshooting, creativity, and fabrication skills to keep equipment operating efficiently.

Interview & Testing Process
  • One onsite interview with facility tour
  • Maintenance skills assessment conducted during or shortly after the interview
  • Testing results will determine placement and compensation level
  • Additional interview round only if necessary

Shift Options

1st

Shift: 5:45 AM - 2:00 PM
2nd

Shift: 1:45 PM - 10:00 PM
3rd

Shift: 9:45 PM - 6:00 AM

All shifts include a 15-minute paid overlap for shift handoff.

Current Hiring Need
The primary need is on 2nd and 3rd shifts, with the current opening focused on 3rd shift. Shift assignment may vary based on business needs and staffing requirements.

Training & Onboarding
  • All new hires will begin training on 1st shift alongside experienced technicians.
  • 2nd Shift Assignments:
    Typically 1-2 weeks of training on days
  • 3rd Shift Assignments:
    Typically up to 1 month of training on days
  • Training duration may vary based on the employee's experience and readiness to work independently.
