Salary Range: $56,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Battle Creek seeking Tool and Die Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate, repair, and maintain dies, molds, fixtures, and gauges.
- Operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and part quality.
- Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool components.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool designs and manufacturing processes.
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a certified Tool and Die Maker apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, and various machining processes
- Demonstrated ability to operate precision measuring tools and equipment (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and CNC machining operations
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Solid Works, Mastercam) for design and programming.
- Experience operating and programming CNC machining centers and EDM equipment.
- Certification or advanced training in metrology and precision measurement tools (e.g., CMM).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to perform basic welding and fabrication tasks.
