American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Battle Creek, Michigan. This role requires a valid MI RN license and OB/L&D experience, with night shift availability on a 13-week contract.

• 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms in a hospital setting
• RNs work across all areas of the LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, newborn care at delivery, and couplet care
• Patient staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units within the facility as a sitter when needed; may also float to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away based on need and census
• No on-call responsibilities
• Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training for hearing screens is provided
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No RTO during the first two weeks of the contract
• Orientation includes self-reported, non-billable modules (approximately 8 hours, completed annually)
• Travelers are given first priority when floating
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted with no radius restrictions
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month gap before returning
• Any background history should be disclosed upfront for consideration

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and either AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C‑EFM (both not required)
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
• Required skills:
  
  OR circulating and fetal heart monitoring (FHM) triage
• Preferred skill: scrub nurse experience
• References required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required; exemption requests must be submitted promptly after contract signing
