Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and a Michigan RN license.
Responsibilities- Hospital-based Med/Surg unit setting
- Patient population includes a mix of medical patients across specialties: ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical cases including GI, urology, hysterectomies, and mastectomies
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
- 36 or 48-hour weeks available
- Staffing ratio of 1:5-6 on nights, with the possibility of flexing to 1:7-8 when paired with an LPN for support
- Floating to other Med/Surg units is required, typically once per week based on unit need
- Every other weekend required
- Must be available for orientation during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered at a local pay rate
- Provide direct patient care across a variety of Med/Surg specialties with a flexible, team-based staffing model
- Active Michigan RN license required
- BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certification accepted if candidate is willing to obtain
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred
- Must be willing to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
