Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in BATTLE CREEK, Michigan. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing nursing assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The RN will supervise ancillary staff, contribute to patient rehabilitation, and participate in discharge planning while ensuring safety and compliance with hospital guidelines.

Days shift with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week - Required Qualifications:
Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only); zero to one year of experience; certified or licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan - Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience - Float:
Float rotation may be required - Additional Information:
Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Responsible for accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses. Initiates discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Communicates patient status updates to ensure continuity of care. Provides supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and contributes to team building efforts. Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical needs.
Assumes charge responsibility after orientation and actively pursues professional growth. Prioritizes activities and plans staff utilization efficiently while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
