Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Travel Nurse Position Available

Local rate applies to travelers 50 miles or less. Desired start date is April 6th. Shift: 36 or 48 hour weeks available. Must be available for the first two weeks of assignment. Will float to other Med Surg units and work every other weekend. Other requirements include: willingness to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs, etc.), Michigan RN license (pending license ok, must provide ETA), BLS (AHA), and a minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience.

BBC Medical, Surgical, Oncology Unit (C5) is a 37 bed unit caring for a wide variety of patient types. We care for general medical diagnosis patients and specialize in the care of all gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgeries. Depending on the unit needs, you could be floated to different MS units. We see a good mix of medical patients and our specialties include ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical patients are GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies.

Staffing ratio is 1:5-6 for nights, ratios may flex to 8 patients but RN will be paired with LPN for support in these instances. Variety of staff work on this unit and other Med/Surg units (i.e., RNs, LPNs, Techs, etc.).
