American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D/OB/Mother-Baby experience and an active MI RN license.

• 15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Will work in all areas of LDRP including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nursing, newborn nursing at delivery, and couplet care
• Performs lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 Machine
• Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floats to the house as a sitter when needed and to a facility 27 miles away when census allows
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of L&D, OB, and Mother/Baby experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and either AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
• Required skills:
  
  circulating and FHM triage
• Preferred skill: scrub nursing
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration, with exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of signing if applicable
• Supervisor-level references required

• Will be trained to complete newborn infant hearing screens
• Scrubs provided
• Holiday coverage required, though RTO during holidays may be accommodated based on staffing needs
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days total during the assignment
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
• Locals accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
