Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift - 3x12 hour shifts per week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees.

• Conducts nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming an individualized plan of care.
• Identifies teaching needs and collaborates with patients, families, and the Interdisciplinary team.
• Documents all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.
• Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and conducts patient education in anticipation of discharge.
• Communicates changes in patient status to all care providers to maintain continuity of care and safety.
• Supervises and trains ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Promotes personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies.
• Contributes positively to the unit's functionality and participates in team-building activities.
• Maintains communication related to service needs and effectively manages resources for patient care.
• Assumes charge responsibility as needed and actively pursues professional growth through continuing education.
• Prioritizes tasks to effectively meet patient needs.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
