Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Battle Creek that are seeking First Article Inspectors. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) according to AS9102 standards.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Utilize a wide range of precision measuring tools and equipment, including CMM, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document detailed inspection results, including non-conformances, and generate FAI reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve discrepancies and improve product quality.
  • Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration records are up-to-date.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the FAI process.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
  • Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or equivalent standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
