We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty OR General Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including diesel trucks, trailers, light‑duty vehicles, and shop/fleet equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and service manuals
- Perform repairs on heavy‑duty trucks, tractors, trailers, and light‑duty vehicles
- Service diesel and gas engines, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and emissions systems
- Inspect and repair brakes, steering, suspension, driveline, and transmission systems
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM services), including oil changes, filters, lubrication, and multi‑point inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical systems (starting/charging, wiring, lighting, sensors, etc.)
- Use scan tools and software to diagnose faults (engine, ABS, and after treatment systems when applicable)
- Repair or replace worn parts such as belts, hoses, bearings, seals, and brake components
- Assist with trailer repairs including lights, brakes, hubs, suspension, and DOT‑related items
- Maintain accurate repair documentation, parts usage, and work orders
- Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized
- Assist with roadside or mobile service calls when needed (if applicable)
- High school diploma or GED (technical school preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair (diesel, heavy duty, automotive, or fleet)
- Understanding of vehicle systems (engine, electrical, braking, steering, suspension)
- Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic reports
- Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeters, scan tools, pressure gauges, etc.)
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain)
- ASE Certifications (Automotive and/or Diesel)
- DOT inspection certification
- OEM experience (Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Ford, Chevy, RAM, etc.)
- Experience with hydraulic systems and PTO equipment
- Welding/fabrication experience
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in tight spaces for extended periods
- Ability to work in a shop environment with noise, heat, and exposure to grease/oils
- Full-time (overtime and weekends may be required depending on workload)
