Hourly Rate: $26.63 - $28.38 (depending on experience)
Position SummaryFull‑time Dental Supervisor position available for our Battle Ground Dental Clinic. The Dental Supervisor will coordinate patient flow and supervise the Dental Assistants and Dental Receptionists. Must also be able to coordinate patient scheduling and triage patients. Knowledge of proper sterilization methods, OSHA regulations, dental insurance programs, and dental procedure codes is necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities- Organize and coordinate patient scheduling to maintain efficient patient flow; triage patients, coordinate dental appointments, and communicate accurately with patients.
- Supervise the dental assistants and dental receptionists; communicate and guide the Dental Providers; provide verbal counseling and disciplinary actions as required; participate in training of new employees and dental trainees.
- Utilize the sterilization room to process instruments through the proper sterilization process and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Manage dental insurance programs and procedure codes to correct encounter forms and answer cost questions; operate the Misys system or other current computer systems used at Sea Mar Community Health Center.
- Complete Quality Improvement activities per the QI Department Calendar (e.g., chart audits, patient surveys, health and safety activities); maintain provider production goals and daily production reports; build community relationships (headstart programs, ECAP programs).
- Communicate with the Regional Coordinator and Dental Director regarding issues clearly and effectively.
- Current DA registration from Washington State required.
- Completed basic courses in dental assisting and office management at an academic institution or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a dental office may be considered in lieu of education.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or compliance within one month of employment.
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and communication; ability to read and interpret common dentistry materials.
- Experience with EPIC is desirable.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Russian preferred but not required.
