Role And ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure successful implementation of the service sales strategy for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure profitable achievement of qualitative and quantitative targets related to Life Cycle Management (LCM) and service products and solutions. You will also showcase your expertise by determining account and acquisition plans to support growth. The work model for the role is onsite.
This role is contributing to the Motion in Oman. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead and motivate service sales team to ensure profitable growth year over year.
- Implement local sales strategy in line with global strategy. Ensure latest global tools are used effectively in LSU.
- Account management of key customers. Ensure account plan in SFDC is updated for top 5-10 customers every year.
- Specific focus on digitalization, Service level agreements, energy efficiency and competitor replacements.
- Identify customer installed base for Motion, issues faced by customer and key decision makers at customer organisation, so that proactive solutions can be implemented.
- Enquiry Generation for complete Motion Portfolio through proactive sales. Generate at least 45 MUSD opportunities for 2027, so that at least 11 MUSD orders are booked for service sales.
- Develop strategic sales plan for Motion Service business (Drives, Motors, and PLCs).
- Implement effective usage of 7 habits in the team.
- Ensure accurate forecasting of orders.
- Ensure that all commercial and legal aspects are considered during finalization of orders to minimize ABB’s risk.
- Ensure regular sales reviews and support the team to achieve their targets.
- Promote preventive maintenance and reconditioning for drives and motors.
- Ensure that HSE related aspects are fully considered and accordingly agree with customer/cost separately during sales stage itself.
- Complete Installed base mapping to ensure that more than 90% of installed base is allotted to site.
- Visit the Customer, Study the Technical Specs and Prepare/Submit offers for ABB as well as Non-ABB replacements.
- Channel Partner review and corrective actions.
- Follow up Payment to avoid overdues.
- Organise customized technical events to improve ABB’s acceptability with end users.
The Role
- Electrical Engineering Background.
- 15+ years of experience.
- Team management skills.
- Proven track record in service sales, preferably for Drives, Motors and PLC.
- Background in digital solutions.
- Previous engagement and customer relationships with major government end-users and entities.
- Strong technical expertise in motion products is a big plus.
- Strong English communication skills are a must.
- Innovative mind and interest to explore new ideas and build strong relationships—excellent networking skills.
