Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Community:
Quaker Hill, Skilled Nursing, Baxter Springs, KS.
Shifts:
Days / Nights.
Employment Type:
Full-Time. Pay:
Starting at $17–$20/hour (based on experience and shift).
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with transfers, lifting, repositioning, and mobility as required.
- Observe, document, and report changes in resident condition and care provided.
- Support restorative nursing and therapy activities as directed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and homelike environment for residents.
- Report accidents, incidents, or concerns involving residents, staff, or visitors.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of required safety equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Valid CNA certification in the state of employment.
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred, but not required.
- Compassionate, resident‑centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
- Dependable, professional, and safety‑focused.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs. and assisting with resident transfers as needed.
- Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistance.
- Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including two‑person lifts and use of mechanical lift equipment.
- Utilize required PPE to prevent exposure to blood borne pathogens.
- Report work‑related injuries promptly and complete required documentation.
