Maintenance Internship - Camping Ministry

Maintenance Intern - Camp Internship (year-long)

Camp JIM (Jesus Is Mine) in Pillager, MN offers a year‑long internship focused on maintenance and construction within a Christian camp setting. The internship is designed to prepare interns for leadership in ministry or other career paths.

Interns will gain hands‑on experience in:

Ministering to youth and adults
Serving in a local, rural church
Leading youth and adults through camps and events
Basic life skills training (electrical, budgeting, car maintenance, operating equipment, housekeeping, planning, cooking, etc.)
Discipleship of others
Personal growth (spiritual and emotional) with mentorship
Planning, scheduling, promotion, staff hiring
Basic support raising
Training in finances, budgeting, and financial planning
Behind‑the‑scenes experience (maintenance/construction project prep, kitchen, sound, lighting, pre‑event planning, administration, etc.)
Opportunities to work closely with different department heads
Touring other camps to gain perspective and network with the CCCA
Shadowing department leaders
Evaluating other ministries to match gifts and interests

The current internship class runs from September 2026 through August 2027, with tailoring available for the right individual.
