Requirements

The Sr. Manager, Business Development is responsible for driving strategic growth by building trusted relationships and securing new business opportunities across the renewable energy market. Serving as the face of Conductor Power, this role develops partnerships with developers, independent power producers, utilities, corporate offtakers, data center operators, and other key stakeholders while managing the full business‑development lifecycle from initial engagement through contract execution.

Working closely with estimating, pre‑construction, and operations teams, the Sr. Manager ensures opportunities align with the company's capabilities and long‑term strategy, leveraging industry expertise, strong communication skills, and a relationship‑first approach to deliver sustainable growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides leadership and direction for business development pursuits by coordinating cross‑functional teams. Influences pursuit strategy, aligns internal stakeholders, and ensures accountability throughout the business‑development lifecycle. May mentor or provide guidance to junior business‑development team members as assigned.

What You’ll Do
  • Drive new business growth across utility‑scale solar, BESS, substations, and data center power infrastructure by identifying, pursuing, and closing high‑value project opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic business‑development initiatives to expand market presence, strengthen the project pipeline, and support company growth objectives.
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, corporate energy buyers, and industry partners to generate repeat business and new opportunities.
  • Lead proposals, pursuit strategies, pricing approaches, and commercial negotiations while collaborating across teams to position projects for successful award and execution.
