Graduate Surveyor​/SIT

Position

Westwood Professional Services, Inc is seeking a Graduate Surveyor to assist Professional Surveyors with CAD production, boundary analysis, research, legal description and easement preparation, deliverables review, computations, and adherence to specific state statutes. The role reports to a Professional Land Surveyor.

Full‑time

• Assist Professional Land Surveyors with CAD production, boundary analysis, research, legal description and easement preparation, deliverables review, computations, adherence to state statutes, etc.
• Work with Professional Surveyor to define project tasks, schedule and resource requirements.
• Evalue property boundaries in metes and bounds and public land survey states.
• Travel occasionally for courthouse research.
• Coordinate with field crews and office staff.
• Perform QA/QC checks.
• Stay current on service‑specific trends, technology, software, hardware and equipment.
• Ensure division, regional and company policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.
• Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness and professionalism.

• Surveyor in Training certification.
• Preferred:
  Four‑year degree and/or 3+ years of land survey field experience.
• Effective verbal and written communication and independent judgment.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects.
• Civil 3D experience.

• Coordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staff.
• Experience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monuments.
• Ability to travel and remain on a project site or other Westwood office for extended periods (self‑funding of expenses until reimbursement).
• TBC experience preferred.

$65,000 – $90,000
