Direct Support Professional

Direct Support - $20.00 per hour

Position: DSP Baxter (35).

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and every other Saturday and Sunday, 8am–4pm.

You will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in personal hygiene and support them with behavioral challenges and complex needs. The role requires compassion, patience, and a dedicated commitment to the participants’ growth and well‑being.

• Provide direct support, including personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Help participants develop and practice life skills such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Support individuals with developmental goals and engage them in community-based activities.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure safety and trust.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to program policies.

• No high school diploma required; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (at least 1 year post‑permit) and clean motor vehicle record; access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multi‑tasking, teamwork, and time‑management skills.
• Behaviors: patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible.
• High medical experience preferred.
