What You'll Do
Set up production equipment
Load raw materials and prepare semi-automated production equipment
Adjust machine settings such as speed, alignment, and operating parameters
Ensure proper setup before and during production runs to support consistent output
Operate and monitor machines
Feed raw material or components into machines as needed
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments during production
Perform periodic checks to ensure machines are running efficiently and correctly
Ensure quality and consistency
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Check finished output for defects such as trim quality, thickness, color variation, or structural issues
Separate and document approved and non-conforming parts
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Troubleshoot and support production flow
Identify and resolve minor machine or process issues during production
Communicate equipment or quality concerns to leadership or maintenance as needed
Help reduce scrap and improve production consistency
Support continuous improvement efforts on the production floor
Maintain a safe and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
Maintain clean and organized workstations
Use required PPE at all times
Follow all production instructions and documentation requirements

Required Qualifications
Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
Mechanical aptitude and ability to set up and adjust production equipment
Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, or technical documentation
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical or process issues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience in plastics, thermoforming, or high-speed production environments
Previous machine setup or changeover experience
Technical training or vocational education in manufacturing or machining
Experience improving production efficiency or reducing scrap
A Typical Day Might Include
Setting up machines for production runs
Operating equipment and feeding materials throughout the shift
Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings
Inspecting parts using precision tools
Troubleshooting minor issues during production
Recording production data and quality results
Communicating with team members to keep production running smoothly
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for long periods throughout the shift
Ability to lift and move materials as needed
Frequent bending, reaching, and hands-on machine adjustments
Ability to use precision measuring tools repeatedly
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature variation and machine noise
Ability to wear required PPE at all times
