Full-Time On-site Rate: $25 USD per hour Baxter, MN 56425, USA Pay or shift range: $25 USD to $30 USD This is an estimated range. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of thermoforming machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, chillers, compressors, and other production or facility equipment.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with established schedules.
- Assist in the installation, setup, and startup of new machinery, tooling, and support equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Maintain maintenance records, PM logs, and spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure proper equipment performance.
- Adhere to all safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and cross-train within the maintenance department.
Desired Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, or Mechanical field preferred.
- 3–5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience (thermoforming or plastics industry experience strongly preferred).
- Working knowledge of:
- PLC controls and HMI systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
- Hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
- AC/DC motors, drives, and electrical circuits
- Chillers, HVAC, and process cooling systems
- Basic welding, fabrication, and machining skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in manufacturing conditions.
- Computer literacy for maintenance logs and machine interface systems.
Equipment Use:
- Power tools, hand tools, testing equipment, forklifts, and scissor lifts (must be certifiable).
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to:
- Extreme temperatures (heat/cold)
- High noise levels
- Moving mechanical parts
- Requires standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods.
- Must follow all safety policies and wear required PPE.
