Must be able to lift 50 pounds in a safe manner and be able to spend 100% of your time in a standing position. Must be comfortable in maneuvering large aluminum billets of several hundred pounds using various material handling equipment including but not limited to pallet jacks, fork lifts, overhead cranes and gib cranes. Must have knowledge in the operation of various types of CNC machine controls.
Must be experienced in the use of various types of cutting tools, tool holders, in the operation of CNC milling centers. Must have experience in the accurate set-up for vertical and horizontal mills. Knowledge of programming or past programming experience is preferred but not required.
High School degree (not GED) with emphasis in the trades, some post- secondary education preferably in machine trades or equivalent experience.
Must have reading skills to at least the 12th grade level and be able to communicate effectively in words and writing so others can easily understand.
Must be able to use the basic math skills of addition, subtraction multiplication and division and use these skills to process numerical data from blueprints and job packets.
PERSONAL SKILLSMust demonstrate a positive attitude and behavior by dealing with people in a positive manner. Must be able to set effective goals and demonstrate the ability to meet them. Must work in a safe manner as described in company safety SOP’s and show a willingness to participate in safety activities. Must be adaptable and show a willingness to work at different tasks in and out of the finish department and be able to learn new skills.
