The Day in the Life of an LPN / CMA – Baxter ClinicThe Clinic LPN at Baxter is integral to managing the physician's daily clinic schedule, ensuring each patient's timely assessment and preparation before they meet the physician. This role requires you to assist in various medical procedures, administer medications, and effectively use medical equipment ranging from EKGs to nebulizers. The position involves maintaining accurate and detailed medical records under stressful conditions, adapting quickly to emerging patient needs, and collaborating closely with physicians, other nurses, and administrative staff to optimize patient flow and care coordination.
It also includes handling indirect care activities such as stocking supplies and managing communication between patients and medical staff.
- Strong patient advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate complex care plans
- Demonstrates leadership and organizational abilities
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Current LPN license from the State of Minnesota – OR – Graduate of a medical assistant program with CMA OR CCMA certification within one year of hire
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- One year of clinical nursing experience
