Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician (2‑5 Years Experience Level)

• Perform installations, preventive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify HVAC/refrigeration system issues and provide effective solutions.
• Communicate with customers to explain service needs, offer solutions, and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
• Ensure all HVAC/refrigeration systems are properly calibrated to manufacturer specifications.
• Replace faulty parts, components, or systems as required, following industry best practices.
• Accurately complete service reports, maintenance logs, and other required documentation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and product updates to provide high‑quality service.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Degree, diploma, or certification in HVAC/R.
• Universal EPA certification.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on HVAC/R commercial service experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer interaction and teamwork.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
• Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems; skilled in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• PLT Licensed or registered unlicensed PLT.
• Previous experience working with HVAC software or mobile apps.
• Strong customer service orientation.

• Ability to carry and lift heavy equipment (up to 100 pounds).
• Comfortable working in varied environments, e.g., commercial sites or outdoors.
• Ability to work in cramped spaces, on ladders, and in high or tight areas.
