Automotive Technician
Position Overview
This position is responsible for professionally installing aftermarket accessories on vehicles, ensuring proper fitment, function, and safety. The employee personalizes and installs automotive accessories and aftermarket equipment for guests, adhering to manufacturer and company shop quality specifications and time standards. The workweek consists of weekdays plus Saturday;
Saturdays receive $5.00/hr extra compensation.
- Install accessories on guests’ vehicles ensuring quality and top‑notch workmanship.
- Handle a variety of accessories including lift/lowering kits, running boards, step bars, toppers, brush kits, brush guard or bull bar, snowplows, lift gates, emergency lighting, trailer hitches and wiring, tonneau covers, exhaust systems, lighting/wiring, and more.
- Communicate with guests to understand their desires, provide recommendations, and explain installation procedures.
- Provide updates to guests throughout the installation process.
- Read and interpret installation manuals, use tools and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform quality control checks.
- Bring vehicles to guests and demonstrate new product usage and features.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring all installations are performed correctly and safely.
- Diagnose and resolve installation issues, ensuring precise and professional installations.
Prior automotive experience is a plus, though not required. Candidates should be passionate about working in the automotive industry and open to training and growth opportunities.
CompensationThe starting hourly pay rate range is $17.00 – $20.00+, with an additional $5.00/hr for each hour worked on Saturday. Pay is evaluated based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job‑related factors permitted by law.
