Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Position Summary

Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at Walmart local retail store. Support and oversee repair of refrigeration HVAC equipment using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using hand, digital, and power tools.
• Utilize work order management system to receive and document repair work orders.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment to diagnose issues.
• Complete required training and operate equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart HVAC safety policy.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights ladders.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with clean driving record; ability to pass MVR.
• 18 years or older with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Option 1:
  Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R;
  Option 2: 4 years’ experience.
• Hold and maintain Type I/II or Universal EPA certification.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Ability to read and speak English.

• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI/DWI/OUI in last 5 years and no more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• Completion of 2‑year HVAC/R program.
• Experience using Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Mechanical license in relevant city/state.
• No preventable accidents or serious traffic violations in last 3 years.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
