Position: Ready Mix Driver - Conveyor (Seasonal)

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily truck inspections and report needed repairs.
  • Daily maintenance of equipment.
  • Drive truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement and water; start the mixer and adjust ready mix to proper slump; rinse and download area; clean material spilled on the outside of the drum.
  • Drive truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites.
  • Drive truck to location for unloading, attach chutes, then unload concrete.
  • Clean truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck, using water hose and hoe.
  • Drive trucks including ready mix, septic, block and aggregate materials.
  • Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
  • Clean and maintain truck.
  • Ensure proper loading and adjustment of ready mix to proper slump.
  • Add value‑added supplies such as re‑rod, chloride or sealers as needed.
  • Make contact with the customer on the job site for unloading instructions and secure signature on the load invoice.
  • Adjust moisture to contractor's requirements and note changes made to the product and any weather and environmental conditions on the load ticket for quality assurance.
  • Ensure proper use of truck‑tracking software.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards and other required paperwork.
  • Maintain proper information in truck cab and perform daily housekeeping in truck cab.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulations, including attending training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A CDL Class A or B license with at least two years of truck driving experience. Preference is given for experience driving a ready‑mix truck.
  • Maintain a medical card and an acceptable driving record.
  • Be self‑motivated, a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, and maintain positive customer relations with courtesy and respect toward others.
  • Hold a Driver's License Class A (required) and Driver's License Class B (required).
