As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an experienced and detail-driven Accountant to manage our financial operations and support smart business decisions.
Position Summary:
The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial processes, maintaining accurate records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of accounting best practices and experience working in a product-based or inventory-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain general ledger and financial records for all business transactions
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, including vendor and client communications
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Monitor cash flow and assist with pricing and margin analysis
- Handle payroll processing, sales tax filings, and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with external accountants during year-end close and audits
- Provide financial insights to help guide purchasing, pricing, and inventory decisions
- Support accounting staff and help improve financial processes as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (Bachelor degree students are encouraged to apply)
- Accounting experience, ideally in a product-based or wholesale business
- Proficiency with Quick Books (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of sales tax rules, especially across multiple states (a plus)
- Experience working with inventory systems or ERP platforms (a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
