Overview
Miller Johnson is seeking a motivated Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions Associate with 2–4 years of experience to join our expanding Corporate/M&A practice. The attorney in this role will collaborate with our dynamic mid-market transactional team and work on a variety of sophisticated matters for privately held companies, private equity firms, and family-owned businesses.
Responsibilities- Represent buyers, sellers, and investors in M&A transactions across diverse industries.
- Draft, review, and negotiate definitive agreements, purchase agreements, ancillary documents, and other corporate contracts.
- Support all phases of the deal lifecycle, including due diligence, structuring, drafting, closing, and post-closing integration.
- Advise clients on general corporate matters, entity formation, governance, and ongoing business operations.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and firm leadership to deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed (or eligible for admission) in Michigan.
- 2–4 years of substantive M&A experience with mid-market transactions preferred.
- Strong drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
