Required Skills:

• Board Certification or eligible in Gastroenterology
• Valid medical license in Michigan
• Proven experience in performing ERCP procedures
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills pertinent to gastroenterology
• Ability to work independently with excellent judgment and professionalism
• Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare team members

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Experience in a hospitalist-supported environment
• Familiarity with community hospital settings
• Prior work in a locum or temporary physician role
• Multilingual capabilities are a plus

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology
• Active Michigan medical license or ability to obtain one
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start from March 1, 2026, with ongoing coverage through December 2026 and potential extension into 2027
• Willingness to complete required training/orientation
• Ability to manage a schedule of Monday-Thursday 7 am - 7 pm (with 24-hour call coverage) and Friday 7 am - 7 pm shifts
• Must adhere to hospital policies and travel expense reimbursement guidelines (mileage, fuel, rentals, etc., within specified caps)
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
