- Verify and validate equipment and tooling through all phases of product and equipment validation.
- Qualify machinery and support tooling changeovers and equipment installations.
- Perform equipment buy-offs and ensure project milestones are completed on schedule.
- Provide onsite support at supplier facilities as required.
- Analyze and interpret equipment downtime and performance data
. - Identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
- Work closely with plant, engineering, maintenance, and supplier teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
- Support manufacturing projects from equipment installation through production launch.
- Ensure equipment and tooling meet required manufacturing, quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Communicate project status, issues, and corrective actions effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience
. - Hands-on experience with equipment validation and machinery qualification
. - Experience performing equipment buy-offs and supporting manufacturing milestones.
- Strong ability to analyze downtime, equipment performance, and production data
. - Hands-on experience with CNC machining
. - Experience with block/prismatic machining processes
. - Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with plant teams, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Willingness to work onsite in Bay City, MI and travel to supplier locations when required.
