Position Summary
The Partner Specialist functions as an expert in the Member Center, delivering exceptional service by opening, closing, and servicing members’ accounts and loans. The role handles complex member issues, supports colleagues, and acts as a subject‑matter expert across mortgage, insurance, wealth, and business services.
Responsibilities- Engage potential members and deepen existing relationships through telephone prospecting, outbound calls, and setting prospect meetings.
- Own a book of business, achieving outbound call targets and performance metrics such as loan and new‑account production.
- Handle complex member transactions in the branch—escalations, IRAs, advanced loan types, and deposit accounts—providing problem resolution and follow‑up.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert in mortgage, insurance, wealth, and business services, processing transactions and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Manage member experience in drive‑thru and lobby environments, supporting all member interactions from teller to complex loan processes.
- Participate in the Net Promoter System, collecting and acting on member and employee feedback to improve service.
- Engage community relations activities and represent the credit union’s mission, increasing visibility and soliciting new memberships via Bank at Work events.
- Mentor and train new Member Specialists, teach playbook tools, and support other lines of business as needed.
- Use core processing systems, digital tools, troubleshoot technical problems, and pursue ongoing training in technology and compliance.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional training preferred). - Experience:
3‑5 years in member service, banking, new accounts, and lending, with progressive sales and supervisory experience preferred. - Knowledge &
Skills:
Mastery of member engagement, client service, problem resolution, communication, strategic thinking, analytical skills, technology proficiency, and ability to manage multiple tasks. - Required abilities:
Maintain confidentiality, communicate effectively in writing, speak persuasively, think critically, and track data to make logical recommendations.
Frequent standing, walking, and sitting. Requires close and distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and a moderate noise level. Up to 30% travel may be required.
