Loan Clerk

In this role, you will provide administrative and operational support to our Loan Department and guide our members through the lending process. As a Loan Clerk, you will support the daily operations of our lending team and serve as a key point of contact for our members.

• Member Service:
  Answer incoming calls and assist members in person with general questions about loans, products, and payments.
• Application Intake:
  Take loan applications over the phone or in person, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
• Application Processing:
  Receive, review, and distribute indirect and online loan applications to appropriate loan officers.
• Lending Support:
  Assist loan officers with documentation, member communication, and preparing loan proceeds.
• Account Transactions:
  Process loan payments and assist members with inquiries and transactions.
• Lien Management:
  Process and release liens on paid-off collateralized loans while maintaining accurate records.
• Financial Administration:
  Assist with balancing and reconciling Loan Department general ledger accounts.
• Records & Correspondence:
  Prepare member letters, maintain organized loan files, and manage the file room retention workflow.
• Compliance & Privacy:
  Maintain absolute member confidentiality and strictly follow all Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.

• Experience (Bonus):
  Previous experience in a credit union, banking, lending, or financial institution setting is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person!
