(1 st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM) Overtime as needed
We are seeking an entry level engineer with CNC G-code knowledge and experienced with Solid Works. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment where they can work with limited supervision and possess attention to detail skills. Being goal-orientated is essential to excel in this role. Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate tool drawings to aid with the inspection of manufactured parts.
- Utilize Solid Works to create or modify CAD models for manufacturing processes.
- Generate fixture drawings to aid with fixture preventative maintenance and trouble shooting.
- Generate tool paths as directed by lead engineers.
- Create and format documents using Microsoft Word and Excel for various purposes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain fixture spare parts inventory.
- Ability to read and understand G-code programming for CNC machines.
- Experience with Solid Works or similar CAD software.
- Understanding of hydraulic circuits as related to fixturing.
- Ability to work autonomously and with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve fixture issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Work independently with limited supervision to meet goals and deadlines.
- Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling and moving items
- Responding to public address system announcements
- Walking and standing
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds or more
- Due to forklifts and other heavy equipment traveling through the shop, temporary cracks may appear in the floor, causing an uneven walking surface
- The shop environment can be dusty and noisy
- Doors are frequently open, causing drafts and interior temperature changes
- Floors around work area may become slippery during wet weather conditions, or liquids such as coolants and oils from the machinery
- May have to handle parts with sharp edges
- Passing forklifts emit gas fumes
- Tools, supplies, and related materials may contain hazardous materials
- May have to occasionally work outdoors where temperatures and climate can fluctuate
- The wearing of Safety Glasses when working on the shop floor.
It is however not permitted on company property. All other illegal substances will be tested for during onboarding.
