Electrical Maintenance Technician

Summary

The Maintenance Associate is a skilled job that requires knowledge in electrical and mechanical maintenance practices in a heavy industrial environment.

Independent and responsible performance of a diversified electrician. The successful associates will possess skill and knowledge in the following maintenance disciplines:

• Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures.
• Services, test, and replace devices used in electronic circuits.
• Plan and perform job layout. Work from blueprints, circuit diagrams and sketches. Uses hand tools and various electrical testing and precision measuring instruments.
• Working knowledge of industrial electronics and National Electric Codes.
• Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment.
• Routinely contacts suppliers or manufacturers on part information, repair issues, improvement needs and shipping instructions.
• Assist other maintenance team members in troubleshoot/repair down equipment of special projects.
• Serves as a resource to production, engineering and other plant personnel.
• Maintains and improves knowledge and skill requirement in all maintenance required trade areas. Maintains user knowledge of tool, testing, equipment measurement instruments, conveyance and material handling equipment.
• Completes appropriate paperwork, machine documentation and preventative maintenance records. Maintains a clear, organized and safe work environment.
• Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and guidance.
• Ability to effectively communicate and establish relationships with other team members (maintenance, engineering and production personnel).

• High school diploma.
• Controls experience preferred.
• Minimum 4 years experience working as Maintenance Machine Repair in a manufacturing environment.
• Completion of a 4-year apprentice program certified by the Department of Labor preferred.

• Quick response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals is a must.
• Ability to work and stand for extended periods.
• Adhere to PPE requirements.
• Navigate a busy environment.
• Walk, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.
• Drive mobile equipment when needed.
• Ability to sit during certain tasks.
