Registered Nurse
Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Recognizes that each patient is a unique individual. Ensures mutual goal setting between the Registered Nurse and the patient. Assures patient rights and privacy are protected.
Is held accountable to ethical and professional standards. Adheres to standards set by regulatory agencies. Requires individual competence in nursing practice. Recognizes and responsibly accepts individual actions and judgments.
