Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown (Nights)

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit in Bay City, Michigan. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong telemetry and progressive care experience who thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Position:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Stepdown

Location:

Bay City, MI

Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Schedule:

36 hours per week

Duration: 13 Weeks

Start Date:

June 29, 2026

Weekend Requirement:
Every Other Weekend

On-Call Requirement:
None

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using telemetry and advanced monitoring equipment.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and identify changes in condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrated drips as prescribed.
• Provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, stroke, and other complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Adhere to all patient safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Stepdown/Progressive Care RN experience required.
• Telemetry monitoring experience required.
• Cerner EMR experience required.
• Active Michigan RN License required at the time of application.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certification required.
