American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring MI licensure, 2 years of stepdown/progressive care experience, and telemetry expertise.
Requirements- Active MI RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of RN Stepdown/Progressive Care experience required
- Telemetry monitoring experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Stepdown unit setting with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Cares for patients recovering from surgery, cardiac events, and complex conditions such as ventilator and stroke patients
- Uses Cerner EMR system
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Perform advanced patient monitoring including vital signs and telemetry tracking
- Conduct regular assessments and initiate interventions for changes in patient condition
- Administer complex medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips as ordered
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
