DESCRIPTION
Responsible for obtaining orders for products produced by the Company within assigned territories. The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and manage a sales network that effectively supports the geographic area defined by the Company. The Business Development Manager identifies potential customers, builds and maintains strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, secures requests for quotations, presents proposals, and leads or supports the closing of purchase orders.
REQUIREMENTSProven track record in developing new business and achieving/exceeding annual sales targets.
Associate’s Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent technical experience preferred.
10 years of experience in capital equipment sales related to specialized machinery, preferably welding, metal forming, and automated assembly equipment.
Ability to travel ~50% of the time to support customers, attend trade shows, and build market presence.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to maintain effective relationships with customers, sales representatives, and internal project teams.
