About the Role

Lead a 3–4-person field crew installing specialty window and door systems, including multi-slide and bi-fold doors & windows, pivot doors, motorized retractable screens, and related products
. You'll plan the day, coordinate site logistics, ensure quality and safety, and serve as the primary point of contact on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily crew planning, task assignments, and on-site coordination with GCs/homeowners.
  • Perform and supervise installation: layout, framing prep, flashing, set/plumb/square, sealing, trim integration, testing, and final QA.
  • Install and commission specialty systems (manual/motorized), including basic electrical coordination with licensed trades.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and manufacturer specifications; verify openings and tolerances.
  • Troubleshoot field issues, propose solutions, and upscale when needed.
  • Maintain safety standards, site cleanliness, and project documentation (photos, checklists, warranties).
  • Train and mentor crew members while upholding company quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong residential construction background with framing and general carpentry skills.
  • Basic window and door installation experience required; willingness to train on advanced specialty system.
  • Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and follow manufacturer installation instructions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional with clients and trade partners.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using lasers, levels, and hand/power tools.
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding while following safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Schedule & Travel

Monday–Friday schedule with flexibility based on project needs.

Statewide travel throughout Michigan.

Occasional overnight travel as required.
