JobPurpose
Develops, coordinates, and governs standardized technical training, qualification, and competency programs across Production, Maintenance, and Laboratory to ensure employees possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to perform work safely, reliably, and effectively. Provides centralized oversight of training programs and partners with Department Leaders, Area Production Trainers, and subject matter experts to identify and address current and emerging training needs. The Training Coordinator Lead establishes and maintains consistent training, qualification, recertification, and documentation processes across the organization.
This position supports onboarding and progression, the development and control of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training requirements resulting from Management of Change (MOC), regulatory and compliance requirements, annual procedure review verification and validation, and continuous improvement of training programs while providing governance, coordination, and performance oversight across all departments.
- Develops, implements, and continuously improves standardized training, qualification, and competency programs across Production, Maintenance, and Laboratory in compliance with site, corporate, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Manages, coaches, mentors, develops, and provides performance management for both Area Production Trainers, establishing priorities, training expectations, qualification standards, performance requirements, and development objectives while ensuring consistent training practices across Production areas.
- Serves as the site training program owner, establishing and maintaining governance, standards, processes, documentation requirements, qualification methods, and performance expectations across Production, Maintenance, and Laboratory.
- Maintains and governs site policies, standards, and programs applicable to Operations, including Conduct of Operations, the Operations Training Strategy, training and qualification requirements, and other cross-functional operational policies, ensuring they remain current, consistently implemented, and aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
- Develops and maintains the site training strategy, annual training plans, competency requirements, and priorities in alignment with business, operational, safety, compliance, and workforce development needs.
- Partners with Department Leadership and Human Resources to develop and implement workforce development, career progression, and competency development programs that support employee growth, succession planning, and organizational capability.
- Coordinates and oversees departmental training activities and provides functional direction to Department/Area Trainers and subject matter experts, establishing consistent training delivery, qualification practices, competency expectations, and program execution across Production, Maintenance, and Laboratory.
- Conducts training needs assessments and task analyses and coordinates development of competency-based training programs, curricula, lesson plans, OJT guidelines, job aids, assessments, tests, and other instructional resources.
- Provides governance and oversight of employee onboarding, qualification, progression, certification, recertification, and recurring training requirements.
- Establishes and monitors qualification and competency requirements to ensure personnel remain qualified for assigned roles and responsibilities.
- Reviews Management of Change (MOC) activities to identify training impacts and coordinates required training associated with approved changes.
- Leads the review, revision, approval, publication, distribution, and control of training-related procedures, manuals, and documentation in accordance with established requirements.
