Instructional Aide - Library
The Library Aide ensures smooth and efficient operation of the Library and sets daily priorities based on knowledge of the overall function of the library and performs work as required or assigned.
QualificationsEducation and experience equivalent to high school graduation. Previous relevant experience in an educational or library setting is an asset. Valid Texas educational aide certificate. Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.
Ability to assist in instructional reading and writing. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work well with children.

- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance
- Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures

Standard office equipment including computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; other specialized and adaptive equipment used by students

Frequent light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
Environment:
Work inside and outside (exposure to sun, heat, cold, and inclement weather); exposure to noise
Mental Demands:
Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
