VFR Pilot

Join our life‑saving team in Bay City, TX. PHI Health is seeking skilled and dedicated pilots to join our elite team. You will be at the forefront of life‑saving missions, delivering critical care with speed and precision.

PHI Air Medical (operating under CAMTS guidelines) offers 24‑hour operations with day/night rotation. Pilots must hold a BH407 VFR/NVG rating (instrument rating required). Successful applicants may need aircraft transition with a minimum one‑year service requirement or a relocation package with a two‑year service requirement per CBA.

• Perform line pilot duties IAW GOM.
• Support Safety Management System, Destination Zero, and other company safety campaigns.
• Work with internal and external customers to provide safe, efficient, courteous, and reliable service.
• Participate in community outreach programs and adhere to PHI Air Medical policies.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of patients and equipment (some lifting required).

• Commercial and Instrument Helicopter Ratings.
• First Class Medical certificate.
• CAMTS requirement: 2,000 total flight hours (1,500 helicopter, 1,000 PIC helicopters, 500 turbine helicopters, 100 hours unaided night operations or 50 hours unaided + 100 hours NVG).
• Weight restriction: individual weight 235 lbs or less.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Pass pre‑placement physical exam, functional capacity test (lift 100 lbs), drug screening, and background check.
• Interview and acceptance by customer/PHI management.
