Part-Time Agent Assistant - Baldwin

Overview

This is a limited term position. Continued employment is based on continuation of extramural funding and is subject to renewal.

Alabama Cooperative Extension System is seeking qualified applications for Part-Time Agent Assistant serving Baldwin County to assist with programming and support of the Master Environmental Education Program and 4-H.

The Agent Assistant will have a 28-hour work week and periodically provide evening and/or weekend hours.

• Assist with delivery of educational programming in schools in support of the Master Environmental Educator Program
• Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling with teachers and communicating with volunteers
• Support and deliver 4-H youth development programming, including preparation of curriculum and materials
• Serve as a member of the 4-H CYI Team, collaborating with Extension staff to support county youth needs
• Assist with collection and reporting of program impact and enrollment data
• Maintain, clean, organize, and stock educational supplies and materials
• Provide general office support as needed, including answering phones and assisting client(s)

Level I:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience.

Level II
:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the county as required

Experience working with youth, educational programs, volunteers, or community‑based organizations preferred

When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
