The E&I Superintendent is responsible for leading and managing all field execution activities related to electrical and instrumentation scopes on large-scale construction or industrial projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards
.
- Oversee daily field operations for electrical and instrumentation installation
, including power distribution, controls, cable tray, grounding, and instrumentation systems - Plan and coordinate installation sequencing with other disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural) to maintain project schedule
- Manage and supervise field crews, subcontractors, and foremen to ensure productivity and quality
- Interpret and enforce drawings, specifications, and applicable codes/standards
- Lead safety initiatives
, conduct toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific requirements - Coordinate with project management, engineering, and commissioning teams to resolve issues and maintain progress
- Monitor and track manpower, productivity, and material usage
- Support QA/QC inspections, testing, and commissioning activities
- Identify and mitigate schedule risks and field conflicts
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress updates, and documentation
- 8–15+ years of experience in electrical and instrumentation construction
, with significant time in a supervisory or superintendent role - Proven experience on large industrial, manufacturing, power, or data center projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, PLCs, controls, and commissioning processes
- Ability to read and interpret one-line diagrams, P&IDs, and construction drawings
- Demonstrated leadership in managing large field teams and subcontractors
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Experience with BIM/VDC coordination tools (Navisworks, etc.)
- Background in mission-critical or process-intensive environments
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification
