Earthmoving Equipment Operator / Excavator
Summary Prepares construction site for formwork to be erected in order to pour concrete footings and foundations by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Locates points marked by the layout engineer in the area of the footing/foundation.
- Digs footing/foundation to specified depth.
- Places spoils away from the edge of the excavation.
- Drives and operates vehicles such as backhoe, trackhoe, mini excavator, bobcat.
- Inspects and maintains tools and equipment.
- Works as a form carpenter when not needed to operate equipment.
One to two years related experience and/or training.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCurrent driver's license.
OtherSkills and Abilities
Ability to operate a mini excavator/backhoe and skidsteer required.
Other QualificationsMust be willing to travel, pass a drug test, and E-Verify.
