Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Part Time Ochsner Medical Center – Hancock | Inpatient & Outpatient | Bay St. Louis, MS
Join Ochsner Health at Ochsner Medical Center – Hancock in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi – We’re seeking a dedicated Speech‑Language Pathologist to provide high‑quality evaluation and treatment services for patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role supports a collaborative team committed to improving communication, swallowing, and cognitive outcomes for a diverse patient population.
About the Role:The Speech‑Language Pathologist performs age‑and diagnosis‑appropriate evaluations and develops customized treatment plans based on patient‑specific goals. You will monitor progress, modify therapy plans as needed, document patient care according to clinical standards, and support overall quality and safety outcomes throughout the hospital and outpatient clinic. This position requires strong communication, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively across different care environments.
Requirements:- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
- Current SLP license in the state of practice OR eligibility for licensure by examination OR reciprocity.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required within 2 years of hire.
- Proficiency with computers, software systems, and web‑based applications.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent judgment and the ability to treat a variety of diagnoses.
- Ability to travel throughout and between facilities as needed.
