This position provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse. The candidate will direct and assist ancillary nursing staff, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and demonstrate professional responsibilities to provide the highest quality personalized patient care.

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care through data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
• Provides care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria appropriate to the ages of patients served.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with all patients, guests, family members, and coworkers to ensure a quality patient experience.
• Adapts to rapid change in a positive manner throughout the day as needs of the unit or department change.
• Manages personal professional development and maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training, and credentials.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Education
:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience
:
None required.

Certifications
:

• Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred: IV therapy credentials.

• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.

Heavy Work – occasional lifting of 50–100 pounds, frequent lifting of 25–50 pounds, and constant lifting of 10–20 pounds. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases is routine. Risk of exposure to hazardous medications or waste may occur during receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, or disposal of contaminated waste.
