Conducts interviews to obtain demographics and insurance information and enters data into registration system;
Contacts insurance carrier(s) to obtain information necessary for successful billing of third party payers;
Performs collection duties including discussing financial responsibility with uninsured or ineligible Medicaid patients and establishing payment arrangements;
Informs patient of all financial obligations and collects outstanding balances, deposits, and point of service payments;
Signatures on medical, legal and financial forms; prepares charts and forwards items to nursing unit/clinic
