About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Electrophysiology Lab is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This role is ideal for nurses with experience in critical care and electrophysiology.

• Collect and organize patient data using all possible resources.
• Examine patients to determine physical status through interview, observation, and inspection.
• Identify and record patient's physical and psycho-social condition.
• Formulate care plans that prioritize patient needs and expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with the health team on patient care.
• Identify patient's educational needs and coping mechanisms.
• Deliver care that respects the worth and dignity of patients.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established policies.
• Evaluate progress toward goal achievement using current data.
• Write comprehensive documentation of patient care and progress.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• Previous ICU experience required.
• Previous Electrophysiology Lab experience required.
• Cath lab experience preferred.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• AHA ACLS/BLS required.
