About This Role

The RN - PD (SO) position involves performing the duties of a Professional Nurse, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. This role is ideal for nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality care and maintaining professional standards.

• Location: Bay Shore, NY
• Facility: Southside Hospital
• Schedule: Full-Time

• Collect and organize patient data using all possible resources.
• Examine patients to determine physical status through interviews and observations.
• Identify and record patients' physical and psycho-social conditions.
• Formulate care plans prioritizing patient needs with family participation.
• Collaborate with the health team to meet patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established policies.
• Observe behavioral and physiological changes due to medications.
• Document patient data on the Nursing Care Plan and write Nurses Notes.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and initiate nursing actions if needed.
• Suggest constructive changes in patient care delivery.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months of employment if hired after September 1, 2010, and obtain a BSN degree within five (5) years of employment date.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
